Technical Writing

Introduces students to techniques in communicating scientific and technical information to subject matter experts, managers, technicians and non-specialists using print and digital media. By analyzing the mechanics of existing examples of technical writing using the principles of user experience design, students learn, e.g., to write for technical reports, usability reports, manuals, user guides, online help instructions, software or product support, and other forms of technical documentation. Prerequisite: BF299 or CT220.
